Purpose Driven Dog Training
Basic Obedience Package
Packages are tailored to your goals and your dog’s specific needs.
Geared towards clients who are looking to initially train or improve on one or more of the behaviors listed below. Number of sessions needed will correlate to number of behaviors desired and be decided upon after initial training session with dog/owner. Individual sessions are 45 minutes long and require owner participation.
Behaviors/skills offered through Blue Dog K9’s engagement-centered training may include:

Crate Training
Some behaviors that may be modified include:
jumping
mouthing/biting/nipping
destructive household behavior
reactivity (people, other dogs)
Handler/owner Homework and Commitment to the process
Blue Dog K9 Training will give you homework during each session to be worked on for 1 hour per day, 4 days per week. Homework should be divided into sessions no longer than 15 minutes at a time. Dogs learn by repetition and conditioning over numerous, short periods of time. Your dog will NOT become trained simply by attending a weekly training session. At the beginning of each subsequent session you will demonstrate the previous week’s skills/behaviors to ensure the foundation is in place to move forward.

When you sign up with Blue Dog K9 Training you are joining a community that cares about you and your dog; a successful training experience is our top priority. Continued training via single sessions will be available to clients who have completed the board and train package and reach out for further refinement, continued progress, and help with additional skills/behaviors.
Board and Train - 3 week program
(limited monthly spaces available)
Benefits of a Board and Train program can include:
An accelerated learning process resulting from an established routine and increased daily contact (as compared to weekly lessons) with the trainer. Think of a board-and-train experience like a fully inclusive language immersion class for your dog.
Generalization of behaviors in a dedicated workspace away from home designed to maximize retention of desired behaviors.
Convenience and flexibility for owners. Take that extended vacation or finish that large house project without worry knowing that your dog is not only receiving excellent care in a safe and structured home setting but learning new desired behaviors at the same time.
More “bang for your buck”. Board and Train programs are cost effective compared to weekly lessons.
General Structure:
Each dog receives 3 focused training sessions/day
On- leash behaviors learned: sit, stay, down, recall, and loose-leash walking
Owner transition lesson(s) included - trainer will work with owner to ensure that effective reinforcement of newly acquired behaviors can continue at home.
Day Drop and Train
A hybrid of our weekly lessons/board and train program that offers the best of both worlds - drop your dog off in the morning and pick them up that evening. Dogs will receive multiple training sessions during the day and owners will receive an overview upon pickup with all the information they need to continue the progress started at home.
A great alternative to doggy daycare if you are wanting/needing to increase your canine’s obedience or work on improving unwanted behaviors but can’t commit to a full length board and train program for various reasons.

Secure, purpose-built, temperature-controlled kennel with room for just 4 dogs guaranteeing personal attention and care for each boarder during their stay.
Large, shaded outdoor run has 10ft tall fences with jump cover and indoor/outdoor access via dog door.
Peaceful and quiet home setting - avoid a loud, stressful kennel experience for your dog.
Please note - boarding spots are available and scheduled in coordination with our board and train clients. Please book boarding in advance whenever possible!
